This fully integrated product comprises a compact, handheld hardware probe that is used to inspect internal diameters of any tube up to 2". A wide probe is available for internal diameters between 2"-4". The probe injects an acoustic pulse down the tube and collects the reflected signals that return. The probe is connected to a sophisticated software system that automatically processes and interprets the signals using AcousticEye's breakthrough signal processing algorithms. The system generates easy-to-read reports that pinpoint the location and determine the severity of every problem.
Mapping: The system creates a computerized 3-D model of the heat exchanger tube sheet based on a photo (which can be taken on the spot), or by uploading a CAD file or a scanned schematic diagram. Tube openings can then be marked to synchronize the measurement number with the location on the actual heat exchanger. The mapping feature shows which tubes have been measured, ensuring that the technician does not miss a tube and does not measure a tube more than once.
Visual aids for defect detection: Programmable thresholds for different flaw types and sizes can be overlaid on the measured signals, to assist in visual evaluation of defects. Leakage signal templates can be displayed with a right click of the mouse.
